Mr. TERAUCHI Yuma, WISE Program student, won the “JACG Best Presentation Award” at JCCG-53

Mr. TERAUCHI Yuma, a first-year doctoral course student in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Professor KUMAGAI Yoshinao Lab., won the “JACG (Japanese Association for Crystal Growth) Best Presentation Award” at JCCG-53 (the 53rd Japan Conference on Crystal Growth) in December 2024.

Congratulations, Terauchi san!

Theme: “Study of pyrolysis and combustion mechanisms of TMGa and TMAl for MOVPE growth of β-(AlxGa1-x)2O3”

Contents: Wide bandgap semiconductor crystals with low power loss under high voltage are essential to further promote energy conservation. The findings of this research indicate that it is possible to grow β-(AlxGa1-x)2O3, a mixed crystal of aluminum oxide and gallium oxide crystals, by the reaction of an organometallic compound gas and oxygen gas.
