Dr. AGAKE Shinichiro, WISE Program alumnus, won the “MU ALCM 2025 Light Microscopy Image Contest Technical Award”
Dr. AGAKE Shinichiro (a WISE program alumnus who graduated in March 2021), an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Global Innovation Research at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), won the “MU ALCM 2025 Light Microscopy Image Contest Technical Award” at the Advanced Light Microscopy Core (ALMC) Image Contest 2025 in April 2025.

The award was presented to outstanding photographs at the Advanced Light Microscopy Core (ALMC) Image Contest 2025, a microscopy photography competition hosted by the Advanced Light Microscopy Core (ALMC) at the University of Missouri, USA.
The Technology Award was given for a photograph capturing endocytosis observed when soybean Nod factor receptor kinase proteins were overexpressed in Nicotiana benthamiana using the Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation (BiFC) system to investigate protein-protein interactions.
