Ms. NOGUCHI Ayako, WISE Program student, won the “14th Newcomer Award” at the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Ultrasonics in Medicine

Ms. Noguchi Ayako, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Food and Energy Systems Science, Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Professor Masuda Kohji Lab., won the “14th Newcomer Award” at the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Ultrasonics in Medicine (JSUM 2025) in May 2025.

Congratulations, Noguchi san!

■Theme:
Culture conditions of vascular endothelial cells retained to cannel inner wall using microbubbles and acoustic radiation force

■Contents:
In our laboratory, we aim to construct artificial blood vessels by non-contact manipulation of vascular endothelial cells using acoustic radiation force generated by ultrasound and microbubbles attached to the cell surface.
The use of living cells enables the fabrication of artificial vessels with high biocompatibility.
This approach also holds potential as an alternative to animal experiments and may contribute to future applications in regenerative medicine.
