Ms. MURAI Haruka, WISE Program student, won the “Richard J. Ziobro Award” at the International Research Groups on Wood Protection (IRG) IRG56 Scientific Conference
Ms. MURAI Haruka, a second-year master student in the Department of Agriculture, Graduate School of Agriculture at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Professor Yoshida Makoto Lab., won the “Richard J. Ziobro Award” at the International Research Groups on Wood Protection (IRG) IRG56 Scientific Conference in June 2025.
Congratulations, Murai san!
■Theme:
Interaction between AA9 lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase and PQQ- dependent pyranose dehydrogenase in cellulose degradation
■Contents:
This study aimed to elucidate the interaction between soluble polysaccharide monooxygenases produced by filamentous fungi during cellulose degradation and PQQ-dependent pyranose dehydrogenase.
The findings of this research are expected to serve as a foundation for proposing a new concept in the development of efficient enzymatic saccharification technologies for cellulose-based biomass.
