A press release on the research findings of Mr. Liu Qian, Mr. Zhao Zihao, both are WISE program students, and their group has been issued by the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT)
The research findings of Mr. Liu Qian, a second-year doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Graduate School of Engineering at TUAT, Mr. Zhao Zihao, a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at TUAT, Professor Zhang Ya (their supervisor) from the Division of Advanced Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Institute of Engineering at TUAT, and their research team members were released in a press release by TUAT.
The research team has successfully developed a terahertz MEMS bolometer using silicon material that operates at room temperature and enables high-speed, high-sensitivity, wide-band detection.
This achievement is expected to significantly advance the practical application of next-generation terahertz imaging and spectroscopy technologies, which are low-cost, mass-producible, and easily integrated with CMOS circuits.
