■ Award Title
Poster Award
■ Award Summary
●Theme:
What factors determine biodiversity within vegetation protection fences? A comparison of community structures across multiple taxonomic groups.
●Description:
In recent years, vegetation decline caused by the increasing population of sika deer has become a significant issue, leading to the widespread installation of fences to protect plant life.
This research clarified that the installation of these fences also has a positive impact on animals (birds, mammals, and insects) and identified the specific conditions under which these fences enhance biodiversity.
The findings of this study contribute to more efficient ecosystem management in response to deer overabundance.
