Ms. FUIJITA Shoko, WISE Program student, won the “Poster Award” at the 3rd Young Scientists’ Meeting on Surpassing Molecular Systems
Ms. Fujita Shoko, a first-year doctoral course student in the Department of Biotechnology and Life Science, Graduate School of Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), won the “Poster Award” at the 3rd Young Scientists’ Meeting on Transcendent Molecular Systems in October 2024.
Congratulations, Fujita san!
Theme: “Synthesize Aggregative Membrane Peptides Using Cell-Free Synthesis with Liposomes “
Contents: This research is attempting to synthesize artificial and hydrophobic β-sheet peptides that form nano-sized pores using cell-free synthesis. Using charged liposomes, these peptides can be synthesized while avoiding aggregation, and their electrophysiological properties can be measured.
This technology is expected to be applied to nanopore sensing, a biosensing technology that can detect single molecules without chemical labeling.
