Shoko FUJITA received the “Excellent Presentation Award” at the 5th Nanobio meeting.

Shoko FUJITA, the WISE student from the department of Biotechnology and Life Science in TUAT, received the “Excellent Presentation Award” at the 5th Nanobio meeting.

Congratulations, Shoko FUJITA!

■ Award: Excellent Presentation Award

■ Presenter: Shoko FUJITA (Engineering Dept. of Biotechnology and Life Science)

■ Conference: The 5th Nanobio meeting.

■ Title: Cell-free synthesis of de novo designed β-barrel peptide nanopores with hydrophilic mutations

■ Abstract: In this study, we succeeded in cell-free synthesis of artificially designed β-sheet hydrophobic peptides that form nano-sized pores (nanopores), and detection of oligopeptides using this nanopore. This technology is expected to be applied to nanopore sensing, a biosensing technology that enables label-free detection of single molecules.

■ Award date: December 9, 2022
